also there's an element where they'd want to keep in the more astute ones, if they thought they might help weed out the secret traitor (whereas there's no incentive to keep in any faithful who's remotely clued up atm)
i think this was solved by the secret traitor mechanic! if they're rattled into thinking the people closest to them are actually conspiring against them, and are deliberately going under the radar because they're a traitor, then the traitors would quickly turn on your 'jack' types
they should start conscripting people into the p4k comment sections. young people today could learn a thing or two from a few years active service in the blogosphere
