The article reads closer to an infomercial than a hit piece, also why would there be a hit piece against him anyway? He wasn’t even active with us Lib Dems IIRC, let alone on the way to an elected career …

I think population survival is what is invoked there, which is a level above the regime.
Reportedly because he bought them having guessed their size and they are too scared not to wear them, which is a great precedent for your other thing…
August - trailer was out this month.
Also, how stupid/paranoid is this source?
She did insist that the lights would be off…
Yeah the mayor and the (thankfully departing) police and crime commissioners are a lot stricter - 5k deposit, another 5k to get in the manifesto publication and a higher nomination barrier I believe.
It’s pretty standard actually - whilst if you’re competitive, or if it’s say for parliament you can probably get members/supporters to sign, for paperless candidates it’s often just easier to knock on your neighbours doors and get them to sign (and most people are ok to do so)
Nothing obvious in @andrewteale.me.uk ‘s preview (vacancy due to resignation due to working abroad) - the winner is a previous councillor so maybe well enough known to attract the tactical vote?
I particularly enjoy ‘Kimberly Guilfoyle, and former fiancé of Donald Trump Jr,’ clearly they were planning to add in another thing to describe her, didn’t find it, but didn’t remove the leading and…
Does open up to this though bsky.app/profile/3r1n...
Even at the lowest level, he will surely have taken a few points off the Greens in last Weekend’s polls, and so got the late tactical swing rather than Spencer
It suggests there are two significant population centres, which can’t eclipse each other. Could be two suburbs in a big city(e.g. Gorton & Denton), or could be two towns (e.g. Runcorn and Helsby)
It’s not feasible for any by election. UK exits rely on a few hundred polling stations across the country comparing to the last election, then a bunch of stats to extrapolate- even if one of them was in the constituency then it wouldn’t have the complimentary data to balance it.
She’s at most 14 mate. Might want to delete this.
You have one of your volunteers outside the polling station, asking people who have voted for their polling number. This is then fed back (nowadays likely instantly via phone app) and that person is crossed off you lists, so your other volunteers don’t waste time trying to encourage to polls.
Except the article would then say the forces were trans people or beat poets or something.
But keep referring to ’the member for…’ in the house right?
There would normally be a mention of that, and the changes balance, so think no.
He was in active service 1979-2001, I would guess he was formally paid during that period (as opposed to the more ‘honourary’ ranks afterwards)
It’s Lowe who is trying that out.
There’s also the need for regeneration of Osgiliath, following Denethor’s policy of managed decline.
Yep. For a parly by election, it’s about 180k now, but with things like an office and multiple constituency wide communications, targeted material to specific groups, paid social media and a lot more, it quickly adds up. Services rendered need to be recorded ‘in kind’ so no saying ‘have this free’
Oh the party will be putting the vast majority in (and raising money from members on the back of it) but Goodwin will be putting some of his own in - he’ll probably be paying for his own accommodation for example. Anything you can (legitimately) keep off the expenses you do.
From the article, seems to be he asked for a briefing as part of his trade envoy job, then handed that on. Obviously there’s the wider question of why he was a trade envoy in the first place, but given he was, it does make some sense to inform him since he was in role.
That I can give a bit of room for, in the same way that when you get mention of a film/show in universe which featured an actor in the current production (e.g. mentioning MacGyver in SG1 around RDA) I imagine that the two look slightly different despite us seeing them the same.
Quite notably no longer in the cabinet, and so not included in a survey of the popularity of the cabinet.
The 17 and 19 results are also very tight (both sub 2k majorities) - the leadership and then the general 2019 mess seem to have counteracted the personal/campaigning vote for half a decadeish
Just trying to work out where it all went wrong…
Given the reports are that the whole police force structure is getting torn up on Monday, it may well be moot.
