Provide more housing assistance to more people, through #CityFHEPS, #FHEPS, #Section8, and #HUDVASH but don't mess with the #RightToShelter, or you'll have another #SkidRow in NYC.

#MarkHurwitz also asks whom to "prioritize" for housing. That's a weasel word that usually means not to make services faster or easier to get for a certain group, but to deny them to others. That is unacceptable.

But #LosAngeles is slow to open enough shelters, claiming "the goal should be housing, not shelters" - and failing to provide said housing. As a result, 75% homeless Angelenos are unsheltered, living in tents and vehicles and making #SkidRow infamous around the world.
