It was leaders like President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
They will always embody the best of America.
This moment should serve as a wake-up call to every American who cares about civil liberties:
When journalists can be detained for covering protests, none of us are safe. None of us are free.
We need leaders who treat everyone with dignity, give everyone the chance to thrive, and advance equality for all.
Just as they did in states like Virginia and New Jersey last November, voters are going to reject anti-trans fearmongering and send a clear message this year: Equality wins.
