to my loyal followers; some of you may have seen the recent change in my Bio. yes, it's true, I'm coming out as a marxist!
dym posting some readings related to this? the comparison is interesting and plausible
Since the current State must support capitalist interests, it cannot support worker's base interests; voting as "minimum requirement" compromises worker's base interests. The Bolsheviks used elections to spotlight this, driving workers to realize that their interests lie in the revolution.
You should watch that video, it'd surprise you. It talks about Voting as a system, not an action.
A vanguard party (Bolsheviks) uses elections when activism is limited, instead informing workers how the current State won't support their base interests (explained in Principles of Communism).
Isn't conceding that collective action is essential contradictory towards your belief that just voting is "a minimum requirement"? If collective action is necessary & possible, more than voting is possible. Even the Bolsheviks in Russia, who participated in State electioms, went beyond electoralism.
Those weren't gained thru just voting.
To elaborate, just voting (electoralism) can't provide gains because votes aren't powerful; interest groups are. Under our State, capitalist and managerial interest groups come first in the DNC and GOP, and they have the means to keep it that way cuz rich.
this blueskeet gon blow up
GOP = Groyper-Occupied Presidency
The Marxist position is that trying to achieve social change through only the electoral system is pointless, given it cannot provide gains for the working class. It is not abstract 'values' that Marxist aim for, but abolition of Capitalist exploitation in alignment with working class interests.
its true everything conservatives are scared about is actually based

As much as people on the left may feel that nothing of value was lost with Charlie Kirk, Marxism-Leninism denounces individual acts of adventurist terrorism in favor of mass, organized struggle, so this really wasn't our M.O. Shooting each other is very normal for fascists though, so this tracks π―

I'm curious if there's any relevant historical and/or contemporary works on whether organizing tenants would facilitate labor organization. Figure it'd be an important link for labor organizing similar to what I (barely) know about the Soviet system of organizing
I think I still have the file for this saved on my pc somewhere lol
