Technology is amazing sometimes… Parent bought a new iPhone and they managed to transfer almost everything across but had some teething issues. Managed to have a remote session via FaceTime and I just handled it within 2 minutes… so much easier now!

I would strongly suggest Linux. There are lots of variants but my favourite is Ubuntu.

Easy to install and use and quite polished. Good for people new to Linux, and for those who don’t have time to deep dive into its tech intricacies

I was gonna suggest the same!!
It’s fairly easy and straightforward, got lots of support, tons of drivers and even gaming via proton/steam is really decent!

I dual boot Ubuntu and Win11, and some games run better on Ubuntu!

My daughter (16) got her new 'locked down' laptop from her school today.

It took her 20 mins to work out that she could get VPN software on it via airdrop.

I don't think this social media ban is going to work.

One of the reasons why I still swear by the Apple TV device is because I can then use my phone to type in what I’m searching for…

That and less obvious tracking across what I watch/use…
