Before advertising someone you met at a conference as "stellar supervisor", please make sure that they are actually able to supervise and graduate students and their lab does not have a constant staff turnover.

In this study, we showed that the CDK4/6 inhibitor palbociclib enhanced differentiation and reduced viability and colony-forming capacity in non-APL AML cells. We also performed gene expression analysis, uncovering mechanisms behind the observed synergistic potential of the combination.
All-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) is the cornerstone of differentiation therapy in acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL), but has yet to show the same success in other AML subtypes. This highlights the need for rational combination strategies to overcome resistance and enhance differentiation.
