Her gnarly x-ray. Vet says she’s in some pain, but not terribly so. She’s just learned to live with it. My little tank.

Somehow, despite everything, she still has an interest in food and traveling around the house. She is glued to my side and eager for affection. Vet says she has weeks left, and to take it one day at a time.

This cat has been through so much. A broken hip from before I adopted her, a heart murmur, a chronic feline herpes infection, kidney issues, and skin cancer.

Our most recent vet visit discovered that she has another form of cancer - squamous cell carcinoma and it’s eaten into her jaw bone.

Back at the vet with Paige. She’s got a weird mass on her jaw now that is new. Getting x-rays… she’s a damn tank, but it might be another cancer.

Just got off the phone with my dad. Love my dad… but JFC. He talks AT me for 45 minutes (his cat, the weather, etc) and barely asks me anything about my life. Then when I do bring something up, no follow-up questions or response…

Normalize choosing to skip big holiday gatherings. The expectation of spending time with family on a specific day is draining. And I for one, am tired of being the one expected to travel. I’ve lived in KC for almost 20 years…my brother has visited me a total of 3 times.

I finally watched Wicked on the flight back home last night. Crying on a plane. That was the last musical my mom and I went to together.
