There are so many different levels of offensiveness that idk where to even start. Does he think all Japanese men have the same preference? Or that all men living in Japan are Japanese? Or even you should change your whole life just to be liked by men?

Tokyo is very fun to visit, but I'm always happy to come back to Kyoto. It has such a good balance of urban and nature.

I appreciate the opportunity to present today at the #SIETARJapan annual conference in Tokyo.

本日の「文系エッセンス：哲学」第2回（東工大大学院）は、「客観という言葉はどこから来たか」というテーマで概念の歴史を辿ってみました。

『日本国語大辞典』の「客観」の項目から出発して、そこに最古の用例として引かれている西周訳『心理学』のページを眺め（ほんの150年ほど前の日本語がいまとだいぶ違っている様子に注意しつつ）、「客観」という新造語がどのように使われているを見ました。

OEDのobject、『岩波哲学・思想事典』の「客観性」の項目を頼りに、object / subjectがもとは現在と反対とも言えそうな意味を担っていたことを確認したところで時間切れ。続きはまた来週。

著者の北村紗衣先生( @cristoforou.bsky.social )より、ご恵贈に預かりました『「名作」と友達になる 学校では教えてくれないシェイクスピア』。

来年の授業で活かせたら良いなぁ。
