Master system cover for the videogame classic Stone The Crow
I finally managed to get this working on the emulator and it's all coming back to me.
Was finally able to get a Richard Elson original from Fleetway's Sonic The Comic π
Here's a thread of episodes of The Hill Is Always Greener to listen to if you're here because of the episode of STCTP I was on specifically.
Firstly here's the one Dave was talking about where we talked about Sonic CD comics and lots of legitimate Sonic facts without even a hint of deception.
Photographs of four hand-drawn Sonic OCs on paper. The first is a somewhat water-damaged, ink smeared picture of a caveman crow wearing a spotted fur smock and carrying a club, titled "STONE THE CROWD" with a vague signature at the bottom. He is coloured in with felt tips. The second is a walrus wearing a "STAR TREK" cap and using a keyboard which is connected to something underwater. He is titled "JAMES WALRUS" with the scribbly text "Boffin, loves computers and computer games" at his side. He is drawn in pen. The third is a very simplistic pencil-drawn bull wearing a WWF shirt (with a regrettable Hulk Hogan head on it) and a ring in his snout, with the name "LOADER" underlined next to him. The word "STRONG" is written underneath. The fourth is a blue echidna with a jewel on his forehead and a green Master Emerald necklace, my completely original design. His name is above his head, "DAVE THE ECHIDNA, B.D. (BRAIN DOCTOR)". Underneath the character is the line "(C) COPYRIGHT FAULERRO ROCHER, 1994. DO NOT STEAL.".
A piece of messy, ink-damaged lined paper with a pen-drawn sketch of Stone the Crow, lightly coloured with felt tips, from the torso up. Above him I have written "STONE is a cavecrow from the year 1,234,567 BC (Before Chaos) and he is so cool. He uses his club to hit people (hard)."
For those of you who listened to the newest @sonicpodcast.bsky.social wanted to see what Stone the Crow and my various original Sonic characters looked like, here they are for your amazement. A bonus bio for Stone is included (that I forgot to show the lads during the recording).

Sonic and Super Sonic fleetway :0
Art of Tikal The Echidna (Sonic Adventure) and Tekno The Canary (Sonic The Comic). Tikal's appearance is a bit different than in Sonic Adventure, as she has a more ghostly appareance with a typical ghost tail instead of having legs, hands with 3 pointy, almost claw like fingers and eyes similar to the boom boos from SA2. Tekno is holding her gizmo, and seems to be explaining something tecnological to Tikal, there's a speech bubble from her that shows scribbly fake words and some images like a chaos emerald, the phantom ruby and others. Tikal's expression seems curious, if a bit confused.

You don't see a lot of Forelock fanart!
Tekno waving at a holographic projection Amy Rose, in her Sonic The Comic fit. The projection is activated and coming from the remote Tekno is holding.
Between Hope, Cosmo and Tekno, Tekno is the only one who's able to still be in contact with her original universe. Due to the fact that she wanted to still talk to her girlfriend, Amy Rose.

Tekno The Canary as she appears in The Sisters Robotnik AU.
Decided to add a new addition to the crew, Tekno the Canary from the Fleetway's Sonic The Comic!
She got dragged to the same universe as Hope and Cosmo did, via the Phantom Ruby, and now acts as outside assistance for the team.

Like a lot of things folk sometimes think are "from STC" but really aren't, Sally's bow originates with 1991 Sega of America stock art, reworked from the original Japanese art of Ricky, used on products around the world and in the original one-shot Sonic US promo comic!
Definitely Amy
That same manga also introduced Amy about a year and a half before Sonic CD came out, but some fans insist this is a seperate character called Emi, despite her name having the same Japanese spelling and her looking like this
A more modern-looking Charmy from the manga
By late 1993 he had evolved to look like this, which is extremely close to how he still looks today (and this was several years before he ever appeared in a game)
Charmy Bee's original design from the 1992 manga
I saw a Youtube short talking about how Tangle and Whisper are about to be the first Sonic characters introduced in a comic to get voice actors, so I'm here to tell anyone who doesn't know it that Charmy Bee first appeared in a manga in 1991 where he looked like this
@sonic-official.bsky.social - UK βSonic The Comicβ issue 1 from 1993 !
Yes, sorry about that everyone, we actually might have. We didn't do very much other than promote the books, but timing-wise, they did go from pennies to megabux around when we started banging on about them.
It'll be Wall Street responding, I should think.
normally don't participate on this sort of stuff especially since I don't really have much collected but realised these might be of interest
the 4 uk sonic novels (bought online when they were cheap, they're way expensive now for some reason) and stay sonic, the uk sonic lorebook
