This is just astonishingly great reporting.
All of the crises the White House has claimed over the last 14 months were planned in advance. All of them.
And however much contempt you have for media outlets who reverently relayed Trump's claim to have no relation to Project 2025, it isn't enough.

A black cat is draped, paws foremost, over a blue brocade ottoman. He looks up with big yellow eyes. He looks like he has had quite enough, already.
Have a cat.
Tuxedo cat standing with a crystal trophy.
Same cat, now sniffing the trophy to see if itβs food.
Same cat, now meowing because he is giving his acceptance speech.
Close up of the trophy text which reads: Lifetime achievement Presented To: ARMANI Excellence in Cattitude 2025.
In honor of his 16th birthday next week, we have granted Armani a Lifetime Achievement Award.

For nothing is fixed, forever and forever and forever, it is not fixed; the earth is always shifting, the light is always chang-ing, the sea does not cease to grind down rock. Generations do not cease to be born, and we are responsible to them because we are the only witnesses they have. The sea rises, the light fails, lovers cling to each other, and children cling to us. The moment we cease to hold each other, the moment we break faith with one another, the sea engulfs us and the light goes out. 1964

Don't give anything an Emmy until it's as good as this.
Remember. Your Ring camera is fascist.
"Epstein class" has the stickiness to it to become an amazing slogan for democrats to use that will land solidly with people. It's perfect and whoever wrote it should be very proud.
No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientistβbecause the person felt she did didnβt deserve the recognition.

Even if Bovino gets fired, ICE has to go.
Even if Noem is out, ICE has to go.
Even when Trump leaves office, ICE has to go.
As protests grow and ICE's popularity drops, we may see concessions and leadership changes, like Bovino's departure. ICE still has to go.

This is a good time for Dems to send a strong message to folks at ICE: "Whether you are on the streets or behind a desk, get out now before we regain control of Congress. Because we will investigate and prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law. Would be a good way to weaken ICE from within.
I discovered an app called Radio Garden, and I've been listening to radio stations from around the world while I work. Today I listened to Energy in Berlin, YLE in Helsinki, Bel RTL in Belgium, and WHTZ in New York. If you have any radio station recommendations, I'd love to hear them!

A Tumblr post from user "nitewrighter," March 26. Me: I don't get it. I thought I was doing a lot better than I was a few years ago. I'm like 10 times more on top of things than I used to be. How does everything feel terrible now? The Tiny Me in OSHA-approved Hi-Vis Gear Who lives in my brain and pulls all the levers: Boss, it's the fascism. You're completely gunked up with cortisol due to the fact that your entire daily life is now underscored with a haunting awareness of the rapid erosion of your rights, dignity, and any and all social safety nets, and you're also bearing witness to the most vulnerable people immediately being persecuted. This creates a natural stress response that basically means you're going to continue having memory and organizational problems, as well as emotional imbalances. Me: BUT I HAVE A BULLET JOURNAL AND I MEDITATE NOW. Tiny OSHA Me: BOSS, THE FASCISM.
There's a pretty great Tumblr post about this:
I've been trying to get my version of the Bechdel Test to catch on called the Ballard Metric. It basically asks if the creator was able to work for free or for slave wages due to an invisible financial safety net and recontextualizes the work. (I'm kinda joking idk)
my member of congress just wrote me saying we need to defund ice and with a little survey asking if I agreed and I almost broke the touchscreen hitting yes
