Today's morning dog walk in the Waterworks
Poster showing a snowy London skyline with Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament in black and white. Bold white text urges viewers to help homeless Londoners find shelter. Instructions direct people to use the StreetLink service by searching the name, sharing the location of someone sleeping rough, and clicking submit. The message emphasizes that local services will then offer shelter and support.
This is literally saving lives - and we can save even more with your help.
Share and bookmark this post for when you next see a Londoner sleeping rough.
We'll do everything in our power to get them into the warm.
Snow day dog!

Did you know the tech industry has:
- 10% higher turnover rate
- 2 x the national average of neurodivergent people
And - 53% of tech workers when directly asked will say they're neurodivergent

At the NUJ (Belfast) protest for Palestine
Hello all - I have someone seeking a clinical placement as they commence a Level 5 Counselling Diploma in Psychotherapy with Children and Young People. Can anyone advise as to orgs working with CYP (Belfast, Antrim areas) who could provide a clinical placement? Many thanks!
This little parable is a nice illustration of why it is important for mainstream parties to set and uphold clear, bright line anti-prejudice norms, and of why the failure of senior Conservatives to do so risks doing great harm to their party
Have you read it? Started last night. Really enjoyable micro slices of early Pratchett brain โบ๏ธ
Baby trees!
Morning dog walk on Cavehill.
This land will be a forest one day believe it or not.
Thousands of native trees have been planted in recent years.
They just take a while to grow..
Two framed artworks hung side by side on a white gallery wall. The left piece is a detailed blue line drawing of a group of people standing closely together, looking forward with solemn expressions. The right piece is a red-toned illustration
Two beach towels displayed side by side. The left towel is brightly coloured, depicting Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu smiling amid skulls, palm trees, cocktails, and explosions, with the text โGaza Riviera.โ The right towel is pink with white text listing words such as โstarvation,โ โwar crimes,โ โmurder,โ โethnic cleansing,โ and โoccupation.โ Small signs above them list prices in USD and ILS, and payment options including cash, card, and cryptocurrency.
A car door mounted on two concrete blocks, displayed against a white wall. The white door is covered in bullet holes and has red Arabic text sprayed across it
A wall display of vintage-style portrait cards of women, arranged in two main sections and a small shelf below. The portraits include both Irish and Palestinian women, framed by decorative borders with names and text in English and Arabic.
Just visited the Dlรบthphรกirtรญocht exhibition in Cork, a showcase of Irish & Palestinian artists.
Every sale directly supports artists in Gaza, or in the case of Irish artists, goes to Dignity for Palestine. If youโre anywhere nearby, go see it and show support ๐ฎ๐ช๐ต๐ธ
Tonight's activities
And today's buys from No Alibi (awesome bookshop)
Avi I got to listen to recently at the Fรฉile. Powerful words and thoughts.
And a new Pratchett find I didn't even know existed ...
I can get behind this.
Half arse something forever...rather than whole arse for a short time.
And be kind to yourself
Tech brunch morning!! Chatty chatty chatty one. Lovely :)

Bought a ticket and now can't make it. Gutted. Highly recommend. Should be a fun and informative night. Much craic and banter to be had. lu.ma/d94zscul?tk=...
Yesterday's evening walk dog hello!
And wee whinge (*now* I remember what Tw8atter was for...) What is up with Miro not letting you log out?
I've just struggled to find the option (hidden in profile settings) and twice gone through the "log out of all devices" flow (with nice red warnings)
Only for it to ... NOT log me out. Wut?
Fri is office day for us at F&T. Today is a bumper one:
- Running an Inception to kick off an exciting internal tool we've been discussing for quite a while...
- Doing a short user research call for said product
- Aligning with a client on a Discovery phase
- Team show & tell
Bring it on!
AND.... I'm listening in to Product Tank London tonight on YouTube on the topic of Leading Change - Building Product Culture in Established Orgs
Ok - third time lucky. I'm going to try to get back into the habit of posting!
So - random bit of life update.
Last night I moved the furniture in my study around.
Result - strong burst of creativity. Feeling "unstuck"
Nice hack to encourage neuroplasticity!
My new world is full of "Scientific Software Engineers" ie. ex Physicists. Or as Phil Weir terms it "Professional Nerds".
There's some nerdy craic gonna be happening if the sense of humour to date is something to go by....
I should flag in this new set up we're using a google suit of tools for docs, Taiga for task management, and Miro for mapping.
I'm really interested in the element of a good CRM as part of the process too. We have 2 teams, and I want to create a shared CRM going forward - that can show where our contacts are coming from, what communications we've had with them, and then build up research notes against them too.
Ideas?
