There ARE a lot of pending UFAs. Not the big names, but they are out there.

As we get closer to the Deadline, I wonder if the market goes from seller's market to buyer's market because the sellers asked too much and desperation sets in and they have to make moves... There are a lot of players out there.
Well yes, Kadri is unnecessary right now with Danault already in the fold IMO. Same with Trocheck.
Alternatively: They trade him, and in his first game at the Bell Centre, they have a video tribute for him and his family.
Let the Habs fans cook.
From a hockey perspective, I am fine with trading Michael Hage for a legitimate long-term top-six player.
From a personal perspective, the fact that Hage would be traded before getting the chance to play for the Habs would be devastating to me.
Who said they need an overhaul? Adding a new 4th line/3rd pair is not usually the way to go. Just like it wasnβt for Montreal when they added the three players I mentioned. You donβt need to add depth and grit. You need to add good players.
So was Steve Ott.
Fighting is a non-factor in the playoffs.
Marc Bergevin is in Buffalo and they decide to add the 2026 version of Ott, King, Martinsen in Carrick, Schenn, and Stanley.

Aston Martin in FP1
Closest team to being eliminated is Toronto with a Tragic number of 32 so even farther to go for that to be in play.
With the Boston Fleet beating the New York Sirens in regulation, the magic number for Boston and Montreal to make the playoffs has dropped to 26. It was 35 just six days ago.
Still a long way to go, but something to keep an eye on. #PWHL
How I see you changing your argument after I prove you wrong.
Welcome to the AFL-CIO Sports Council, Professional Women's Hockey League Players Association! | PWHLPA | AFL-CIO
A huge welcome to our 65th union and our newest members from the @pwhlpa.bsky.social!
Weβre proud to bring the solidarity of 15 million workers to stand with the PWHLPA as they inspire the next generation of womenβs ice hockey players and fight for what they deserve. https://bit.ly/4lkwBis
lol... the New York Sirens play their games in an NHL rink. So do two other PWHL teams.
The PWHL averages over 8,600 per game this season. No one plays in an arena of under 7,200.
Try again next time.
Sorry!
You are correct, however the game on April 4 will be held at MSG and has sold out.
The PWHL has announced the games at TD Garden (BOS) and Madison Square Garden (NY) have sold out.
Ticket sales indicated this was coming anyway, but the post-Olympics boom is REAL.
βTo be honest, I donβt think either league has the answer. I think there needs to be someone who comes forward and unites the leagues in some capacity, or restructures them, or gets them to unite in some sort of way. Whether thatβs cross-league exhibitions, or championship winners playing one another at the end, I donβt know what that looks like,β she said. βSomething needs to be done to collaborate more on the womenβs side at a professional level.β
She nailed it, man. This is exactly what happened.
This is crazy. It is the 10th anniversary of this interview with Hilary Knight. The first one I ever did with her. At the time she said that womenβs hockey was at a critical time.
Itβs crazy to think how far weβve come in 10 yearsβ¦

Haha incredible.
Took my 4-year old daughter to a public skate at Place Bell. The first thing she wanted to do? Go to the penalty box.
Why, I ask.
"Because I want to be like Marie-Philip when she does a bad thing."
... At least she's learning the rules?
I think partially for sure but Montreal and Ottawa weekend games tend to do well regardless.
The Montreal Victoire - who were in last place to start play on January 4 - have won eight of nine games since that date are now first in the PWHL standings with 33 points.
Laura Stacey with a jailbreak goal. 4-0 Montreal.
Officially a sell out crowd of 10,172 at Place Bell.
The two Victoire goals scored 1:11 apart.
Dara Greig picks up a rebound and quickly it is 2-0 Montreal.
Maggie Flaherty keeps the puck in on the line and fires a shot past Nicole Hensley to put her new team up 1-0 on her former team.
Looks like the PWHL is going to have a third straight sellout in Montreal following Seattle and Ottawa.
