Matthias Christandl (@Københavns Universitet - University of
Copenhagen) talks about how his team simulated a 40-qubit quantum algorithm on an AI supercomputer.
HPC end-users get access to the #HiDALGO2 storage either using #CKAN or the #HDFS. Data can be transferred from many data providers including NOAA and the @ecmwf.int European data center.
By integrating #HPC resources with a user-friendly cloud interface, the DMS helps researchers tackle complex environmental issues like urban air pollution & wildfire modelling more efficiently!

4/ The City of Stockholm's SLB-Analys unit provided data for the simulations, in collaboration with ENCCS.
By applying the solution to planned building scenarios, city planners can make better-informed decisions to optimise future urban development. 🏙️
3/ To do this, the HiDALGO2 Urban Air Project (developed by Széchenyi István University) is applied.
The solution uses: 💻 RedSim — for high-resolution, multi-GPU simulations 🌐 CFDR — for real-time, browser-based 3D visualisation
2/ The session will look at how to provide wind-comfort information via computational simulations — for the entire city of #Stockholm.
That means estimating wind speed at every point in the city under varying weather conditions.
