Sid has points in 8 straight GP @ Columbus (10-8-18, or 2.25 points per game). Includes 3 GWGs. Last time he was blanked @ Jackets was 3/9/19.
Little birdie told me Rutger McGroarty caught up with his old UM pal Adam Fantilli for some dinner in Columbus this evening
Penguins with two of their most complete performances of the season this week. Nice little dub streak has them back in the second wild card by points percentage.
Chinakhov today is what he looked like at his best with CBJ. Was always a matter of bringing it on a consistent basis
Thereβs an element of unluckiness but Rutger needs to figure out this puck bouncing on him every other shift thing
Very in sync across the board. Been able to counterattack quickly every time they force a change of possession
For as much time as he missed during his prime, Sidney Crosby has been remarkably healthy in the latter stages of his career.
Over the past four seasons heβs played in all but two of the Penguinsβ 285 games.
Not sure if youβre on twitter as well but many still seem to think heβs this gritty, hard-nosed, defensively-responsible guy. Itβs weird
Tough to throw random packages out there but probably much less than PIT fans are hoping for. Wingers on the wrong side of 30 donβt tend to command a ton
Bryan Rust discourse is fascinating. I could sit here all day diving into my thoughts but it generally seems like a lot of PIT fans are hanging onto what made him a successful NHLer versus the player he is now.
Sidney Crosby is pacing for 48 goals this season. That would be the highest single-season mark for a player 38 years of age or older in NHL history.
Same, although itβs not terribly surprising when you look at it from a style perspective instead of a fitness/conditioning perspective
Letang continues to be a painful watch. What in the world was that move off the rush to end the period?
Mantha is feeling it tonight and Brazeau is the hottest player in the league right now. What a goal
Absolutely. But thatβs because Sprong would be the only other choice unless Iβm forgetting someone
Very rare for an 18-year-old to jump to the NHL and become an effective play-driver pretty much right away. Once it became clear this was more than a couple-game thing I became very confident heβll be a stud
Completely agree
agreed wtf is that about
I love how Kindel battles to get the puck back after making a poor play or getting stymied 1v1. That extra juice will push him to borderline stardom in several years. Iβm so confident heβs gonna be a productive and effective two-way player. A+ draft pick.
Absolutely not. Definitely fun though
Justin Brazeau now leads NHL regulars in goals per hour and shooting percentage
Jackson Blake has not come anywhere close to annoying me as much as his father used to. Plenty of time for that to change though
87βs edge work is quite frankly absurd for his age. Everyone is so used to it that we donβt bring it up as often as we should.
Chinakhov has some legit offensive talent that heβs never really honed into any sort of consistency. Not a drag in his own end. Still young enough to put it together.
Donβt mind the player himself but I do question the cost of acquisition and his fit with PIT. Time will tell.

Hahaha Iβm gonna try! @ryanwilson.bsky.social is to thank for getting me back here now
Itβs a half-measure I think everyone can live with hahaha
