A pair of birds nest fungi with their "egg" spore satchels largely still in the "nest". At least one has spilled out and can be seen on the shadowy side of the larger fungi. They're surrounded by at least 2 species of moss ranging from a feathery lighter color species and the darker green towering with spikey leaves. Image is a composite of 29 images focus stacked.

The sun pukes through a bank of clouds, shining sun, beams, and all directions and lighting up the snow that covers the frozen river. Four people wander among the snow, drifts and ice blocks under a patch of blue sky. Behind them is an enormous tundra buggy with a person sitting on the back deck.

A close up of a dwarf munstead lavender seedling. The first set of true leaves have slowly been developing in the almost two weeks since the seeds sprouted I've had 10/20 prepped seeds germinate. I didn't realize germination rates for lavender typically fall between 20-50%, so, in this instance especially, being average is a very good thing!
