Have the 2020s taught you nothing?
Have the 2020s taught you nothing?
Exactly. Just trying to sketch an audio drama road map but it takes a minute
I'm wondering sometimes if I should give Discord more of a chance, but I take your point
Heard. TikTok is interesting to me now that I have anything to promote. I'd hate to lose Bluesky, hated to lose Twitter ofc, but do you think a text-based medium is enough for your networking needs?
Is IG no good? I'm sort of just getting started
I think I need an Audible sub to find out. But I'm hearing more and more about "full-cast audiobooks" that still depend on a narrator.
But my daughter meant for me to distinguish from regular audiobooks. She's counseling me on how to hook her peers
Fargo was theirs, wasn't it? I think about Fargo so much I'll eventually watch it a third time. Already saw s03 three times.
My Gen Z daughter had to convey to me that I need to explain audio drama, explain it's not just a synonym for audiobook, spell out what it is
Nice note. In Baltimore, we teach it to 8th graders and we start this week!
I feel you. It's so hard to post anything that's just positive and not too heavy
Yes! I just heard her with the COO of Fable and Folly. Very illuminating. I'm still catching up on all the recs I've heard you both mention
WYF I don't have much dream recall in general but I saw an image of Putin and those chickenscratcher was at the table in my dream last night. All he did was laugh, hard, couldn't stop, pink in the face and I kept seeing him there and thinking WTF is the actual Putin at my table
#wtf #wtfdreams
I'll have have to work my way up to appreciating the difference
Nice recorder. I have the h2n. Haven't scratched the surface with it yet
During the DAY? Rude
Congratulations!
Over here I just launched my first single-episode audio drama and am working an audio memoir (not mine). After that, to produce my first audio drama series (comic sci-fi). It feels ambitious!
ADWIT has been a real help - thanks
Fo real. I skipped school the day Automatic For The People came out
I bought the CD the day it came out. 9/29/92 I think

I relearned cursive a couple of years ago, started writing first drafts of things and noted and brainstorms all by hand.
Of course, my essays didn't receive grades when not written in cursive back at school
Haha awesome. Then I would say the character-in-context is important. In a scene. It's an Easter egg for those who know and a hook for those who don't. Might also dodge my preference against portraits
La neta is I don't want images. Many will differ with me because they love both audio drama and illustration, but I am lowkey turned off by the posts I see for audio dramas that include character portraits
They must convert to dystopian non-fiction but then they'd just be the news
Hallelujah ofc
My introduction to old Fisher Stevens
I second this. It's the kind of zany but coherent madness that functions because it's audio drama. Very inspiring
Does a single-episode audio drama count as flash?
How awesome. My first audio drama has made it to 14 countries - a pleasant surprise!
