SUMP presented their “Petition for the Redress of Grievances put forward by the patients in Hartwood Hospital, Shotts Lanarkshire” on 18th August 1971.

"Equality, dignity, and freedom for all individuals" are words that were actually said today in the Northern Ireland Assembly as they discussed how important International Human Rights Day is at around the same time the NI Executive was voting unanimously to ban on puberty blockers.
