So conflicted about my experience with #Marathon so far... 😔

I ♥️ how bold they went with the visual design and art direction, but it seriously hurts the gameplay experience as a whole, all the intense colours beg for attention and end up creating a visually overstimulating and confusing experience.

Again, I cannot emphasize enough: do not go to the US even if you're privileged enough to have never been scared or worried of a border crossing in you're life. Do not go ESPECIALLY for something as optional & outrageously expensive as GDC.

Gen AI is so appealing to lazy people because it reinforces their ability to feel like they created something (with the least amount of skill and effort) without realizing that the output to their “genius” prompt is nothing more than remixed & plagiarized work from talented and hard working people.

Gaming stocks are dropping today after Google's rollout of Project Genie, an AI tool that lets users create and explore virtual worlds for 60 seconds. This is the result of a market that does not understand how video games are made. Allow me to suggest that the Street read Blood, Sweat, and Pixels
