I've also made 3 "cursed" ads. They start the same and have the same runtime as the normal versions, but somewhere in the middle they fuzz out to the sound of absolute chaos. Zombie outbreak, nuclear operative attack, or eldritch horror.

I love them!

So I've made a total of 34 "ads" for in-game items/departments in Space Station 14.

I got feedback that the audio is too clean, that they need to sound more like an old cassette that's been played 1,000 times over speakers at the DMV.

Now they're all "dirty" and very atmospheric.

Agreed - anyone who raises serious objections to the political stances I take... isn't someone I wanna work with to begin with, and I don't really care how that impacts my career.

Also I genuinely think that "not talking about politics" is a big part of how we've gotten into this mess in the first place. So many people don't want to have uncomfortable conversations, but they're *NECESSARY* conversations to have if we want progress.

A long while back I made the decision to not censor myself when it comes to political speech.

It's as you said: arts are political. Voice Acting is Art.

It's not all I do, but I'm not afraid to speak out against the wrongs I see in the world, either.

YES, absolutely yes. I haven't seen much here in Connecticut thus far (actually limiting my outdoor time because of all the deer ticks, ug) but I love stumbling upon these beauties.

I've got a weird confluence of skills where I'm a software engineer for my day job, and I have hands-on experience with firearms AND 3d printing.

I just got off after leaving a brief comment, tell them why it wouldn't work.

I hope they get something workable, because this won't. :-/

To be clear: I'm onboard with the policy goal... but the way she worded this requires that either the software on a 3d printer understand INTENT, or it's going to make any blocks trivially bypassed.

There are better ways to regulate this that actually have a chance of succeeding.

I'm currently on hold to hopefully talk to Governor Hochul's office in NY. Gov. Hochul recently proposed a bill that would force all 3d printers sold in the state to have software blocking them from making a gun...

... I'm calling to offer alternatives, because this won't work.
