I say this as a Canadian. On the world stage we mostly suck.

Israel is bombing and invading Lebanon. Is this making the news where you are?
Current mood.
In six months it will still be amazing but really funky and not for the faint of heart.
We spent the afternoon making kimchi. First of two jars. We'll have a bit with dinner tonight but it won't really be ready for two weeks. In two months it will be amazing.
America. Bombs counties in the Middle East. Funds aggressor nations like Israel and Saudi.
Folks in the Middle East go to Europe looking for peace and a better life.
Americans complain that Europe is being "Overrun." "Europe is lost."
Rinse and repeat.
That FIFA Peace Prize is aging really well.
Jens Lekman, one of my musical idols, just a few feet away from me. First set is the entire new album. Second set is all the hits, which has the Swedish crowd bouncing like they're on a trampoline. Ends with A Postcard for Nina and I lose my mind. Absolutely fucking amazing.
Yes it's humiliating. But I really don't feel like cooking.
Iggy hunting for things only he can see.
The game dev paradox.
Having imposter syndrome that you don't deserve to be there.
But at the same time knowing your employer would be in serious trouble without you.
If you don't give a shit about a sport in the four years between Olympics but suddenly have opinions during the Olympics, you're not a fan of that sport, you're a nationalist. And the actual fans don't really care what you think.
I have never slept this well.
Had a go at Eleanor Ford's recipe for her Royal Saffron Paneer, from her book, The Nutmeg Trail. Amazingly deluxe. I'll be making this again.
Spotted this on a hotel wall. A bit of Pogues history in MalmΓΆ.
He's keeping an eye on me.
Republicans watching Carmen: "We're being erased!"
So do conservatives freak out when operas are not in English?
Why are conservatives complaining they don't understand Bad Bunny's lyrics? They didn't understand Bruce Springsteen's, CCR's or Rage Against the Machine's lyrics either and those were in English.

Evolution of a fountain in winter.
The Muppet Show. Mixed bag for me. Much of it felt forced. The choice of Sabrina Carpenter was inspired. New voice actors will take time to get used to. But it all felt comfortable and familiar and it had the chaos so essential to the show. I hope they keep it going.
Winter keeps wintering. A fresh layer of snow.
Watching Canada versus Italy in mixed doubles curling. I'm a sucker for the Winter Olympics and will spend the next three weeks glued to the television.
It's weird to think that the USA now has a different TikTok than the rest of us.
Menu looks great. I suspect any determined English speaker could parse out most of it.
Checking out BΓ€rstronomi, a new joint in MalmΓΆ. Giant-ass schnitzel, deep-fried pickles, the best potato salad I've had since Germany and a house-made nitro stout.
How fucking petty can you get?
I actually like Weezer but this is hilarious. A good vintage Champagne or a warm can of PBR.
Meanwhile on Facebook.
Can we please stop with the narrative that being on X is bad but Facebook is somehow better?
