Right now there are 0.41 registered vehicles for every resident of HRM. Any policy that forces more car dependency takes us towards the provincial number of 0.67 vehicles per person. That’s a potential of adding up to 135,000 more vehicles to our roads. Sound like a good idea, Parker?
Four districts are sustainable without commercial taxes. If you can make time to speak to the budget committee on Wednesday or March 4, you should. Tell council the only way out of this hole is targeted fees to bump up the revenue of unsustainable districts and/or recoup costs from expensive service

I want to see a pie chart of budget operating costs showing the infinitessimal slice that is library/ transit/ bike network completion.
Then I want the time spent debating converted to cost in salaries on the nearly invisible slice. Maybe include the salary costs of redundant staff reports.

This is not a battery problem, this is a supply problem. No one is making these packs for bikes. JPL has been running lithium ion batteries at -20C since the early '00s. Modern batteries are better.

I'm looking for a move the kids + kids' bikes solution. Strapping the bikes to the side of the clubhouse works pretty well. I turn the handlebars on the kids' bikes to avoid heel strike, but that makes it wide with 16 and 20in wheels jutting out on either side.
