Not unless they forgot them. But just because it's not common, doesn't mean it can't be what happened. *Shrug* A screenshot with layers could be helpful proof. Particularly with the background layers and the lighting/rendering layers.
This is a tricky one. On the one hand, my instincts scream ai, on the other, I hate the idea of accusing someone and being wrong because it *could* be that that's just how the artist does things, though it's not common for artists to add minor colouring details after you've started shading. (Cont)
Like, what did the process look like on your end? 'cuz some of these things could be explained away by peculiarities if the artist's individual pipeline. But the could also be signals of you being bamboozled.
I'm more inclined to think the picture wasn't entirely generated with AI, but I do think AI was used in the process. Judging by both this and some other of the artist's work. There is a chance I am mistaken, though, I am not making accusations, but I am voicing a certain level of suspicion.
Why does the stage with the basic colors and even the first shading pass, when all the basic colors should already be there(third picture), lack the pink markings on the dick but they appear in the end result? Did the artist forget them and you had to remind them of them? Same with speckles on fur.
If it were never there on the character's reference sheet, then why did the artist add it to begin with? The golden jewelry too, it's there in the blocking, gone everywhere else, did you ask to get rid of it? Why does his left hand look weird in that color blocking picture? (Cont)
I wish this were foolproof, but it's not. You really want to see at least a screenshot of layers to be more sure. Also, what were the corrections you asked to make during the process? Like, why does the original colour blocking have a mane but it disappears later on? (Cont)

I drew *a lot* more in 2025 than in previous years. Despite all the curveballs life’s been throwing at me. Which is a win in and of itself for me! I love drawing, but let’s not pretend it’s easy, particularly when the backdrop of the world is what it is.
more artfight pieces than last year, though they were all sketchy whereas last year I did one that was a full blown painting. I finished Lykoris’ reference sheet; and I finally have an art summary without any months missing XD
Despite that, I did manage to achieve some goals I loosely set out for myself last year: I’ve had more commissions and adopts sold this year than before; I finished another OC swap card;
