Asking primary school schoolchildren to take an exam that could affect the whole course of their like seems incredibly stupid and cruel. Which is probably why Reform like it.

Absolutely. Both my parents went to grammar school as bright working class kids, although both left at 16. My dad’s oldest brother failed his 11-plus (despite later becoming a Civil Service statistician) due to just not being prepared, so even then it wasn’t perfect.

My positive is that I hope the current situation, relegation or not, forces the club to look deeply at the culture, and each department and employee.

The owners need to decide exactly what club we want to be, and rebuild accordingly.

We need to cut out the self-destructive tendencies. It feels like they’ve been going on for years, like it’s a mentality at the club. I really hoped winning a big trophy would reset that a bit but 🤷‍♀️

I think the issues are deeper than the manager and players.

I think grammar schools worked when the middle class was relatively tiny. Now the system would just be gamed by the wealthier parents.

It’s the perfect storm of terrible injuries, poor recruitment, and the wrong manager. Failing to keep up with every other team in the PL by being cheap on all fronts.

Most of our team are moving like Vincent D’Onofrio in Men in Black.

I have sympathy for some of the younger players who have been done no favours by the club and their more experienced teammates.
