Frozen Shropshire Union Canal in Chester.
Bit foggy out ๐ซ
Every Merseyrail train I've been on today has stunk of beer and farts ๐คข
Hometown pub for Christmas day beverages. It's nice to go to the pub and not have to repeat myself at the bar. Not that I think I have a broad accent, though
Hope your Christmas is as chaotic as your search history! ๐
Drinking mulled wine out of a sippy cup. It's giving Linda Carter energy.
Another fascinating tidbit: the audience for the blog has broadened significantly. By opting for a less specific name, traffic from international locations has soared, with Hong Kong, the USA and France now holding spots in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place, respectively. #AudienceGrowth #BlogTraffic #Blogging
Spent time crunching my blog analytics this evening. While traditional forums used to dominate, now the likes of Discord, TikTok and YouTube are driving more visitors. Meta still leads the charge, but other platforms are becoming key for reaching fresh audiences. #BlogTraffic #SocialMedia #Analytics
Did you know? Black Friday is named in honor of Rebecca Black, who invented Friday in 2011.
I'm very much in this club too!
All being well, @busambassador.co.uk is pencilled in to attend Busworld Europe 2025 in Belgium. From reporting on Merseysideโs bus scene in 2010, it grew to cover the North West in 2014โand now as the Bus Ambassador Blog, Europeโs on the map too. You could say Iโm on quite the journey! ๐๐

Lest I be swallowed whole by an avalanche of garish trinkets and worthless knick-knacks.
Pictured at Headbolt Lane railway station is this immaculately preserved Fareway liveried Leyland Olympian with Northern Counties Palatine bodywork. It's registered F456 BKF and it another great example of an independent Merseyside bus operator of times bygone.
Former Lancashire United Transport Daimler Fleetline with Northern Counties bodywork 561 TD is looking sharp at Central Park. It joined the party at the Museum of Transport Greater Manchesterโs 'Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow' event, celebrating a whopping 200 years of buses in Greater Manchester. And just behind it? KJA 871Fโa real showstopper! This rear-platform beauty, a Leyland Titan PD3, with its exposed radiator and East Lancs bodywork, first hit the road in 1968 for Stockport Corporation.
At Euro Bus Expo 2024, Alexander Dennis showcased its Enviro400EV double-decker electric bus, which Transdev Blazefield will operate in Leeds. The model will be deployed on route 36 between Leeds, Harrogate and Ripon, with buses departing up to every 10 minutes to complete the 27-mile journey.
๐ Bus post! What a November so far. After a hiatus of events, it was right back into it this month. Firstly attending the NWVRT's Nocturnal Running Day, the MoTGM's Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow event and Euro Bus Expo 2024. The latter being in complete contrast to the 'classic' bus orientated events.
Alright, Bluesky! I reckon itโs about time said hello. As for me? Iโm all about public transport โ bus tech, EVs and the future of mobility. Blogging my way through the world of wheels and wires. When I remember I've got an account, and I spot something interesting, Iโll be sure to share it.
