We will be landing on our new island August 7th - 9th and settling into our new home, The Ottawa Conference and Events Centre!!!

While we are grateful for our many years at the Delta which has opened its doors to us for many years. The change in our venue provides us with TWO hotels attached to the convention space, 500 FREE underground parking spots, and so MUCH room to expand!!

It is our great pleasure to reveal to you all the details our amazing staff team has found about our new venue and dates for our exploration of our new island for CanFURence 9 MarOwOned!!

The heading is set, the sails have caught the wind and we are proceeding onward to our new island!

After weeks of drifting on cold waters we have spotted an island!
We are happy to announce that CanFURence 9 MarOwOned is back!!
Keep an eye out in the next few days for more news on our new venue and some of the new amenities for all you critters to use as we settle onto our new island!

We apologize for this unforeseen event and will provide an update as soon as there are any significant developments.

We are looking into alternative dates and/or locations to host CanFurence 2026, and are working with the hotel to see what can be arranged. But as of this moment, the dates for CanFurence 2026 will no longer be on July 31-Aug 2.

This is a decision we believe was made in good faith by the Delta, and that they reached out to us as soon as they realized the conflicting dates. The hotel did also attempt to see if there was any availability in other hotels on our normal weekend, but currently there is not.

We have a very significant development with our host hotel to announce. Regretably, we have recently been informed by the hotel that, due to the timing of renovations, they are unable to host Canfurence this year over the August holiday weekend (July 31st - August 2nd).

He was reportedly in good health and socializing well before his sudden demise, he was also set to join the Toronto zoo

We, at CanFURence mourn the loss of Cedar but also thank Holly's Haven Wildlife Rescue for their efforts toward him and their other rescues

We bring sad news regarding our selected charity for 2025. One of the rescues at Holly's Haven Wildlife Rescue : Cedar, the blind baby moose as suddenly passed away.

As we say goodbye to the wasteland, we are proud to announce that the adventure is not over! Mark your calendars for next year's theme: MarOwOned! Set sail for some mischief and fun July 31st - August 2nd at the Delta Hotel in Ottawa once more! Cant wait to see you all next year!

This couldnt have happened without all of your support and we thank you all for being a part of our growing family.

As we close the chapter on this year's event, we are truly grateful for everyone that joined us on this journey. Together we have made history for CanFURence by having:
