oh yeah this is true xD ive always joked that a big part of emo culture will always be people arguing over what constitutes real emo culture lol. emo vs scene vs scenecore lowk feels like this to me

yesh PLUR will always be true!! no matter the culture or person or anything u can practice PLUR!

but there isnt a subculture called "gothscenemoraveloidcore" so a shorthand will have to suffice. and in terms of their actual music taste and lifestyle, the booboos are really more emo/scene than anything

which was a big part of my design philosophy, instead of going "ohh well this element is actually more rave so i cant use it for my emo oc :(" i built each character's style based on what i thought they PERSONALLY would like. so bbf also pulls from emo scene goth rave and whatever vocaloids are

even barring that subcultures borrow from each other all the time, the vast majority of alt people build their style based on their personal preferences which can derive from many sources and not just whatever STRICTLY falls under goth/emo/rave/etc
