If you think these dungeons are weak you gotta be one of those guys who hates all 3D zelda dungeons, id easily put most of them (not mines, thats easily the most mid) over OOTs roster
They are on the easy side compared to late game Ages/Seasons, but they got stuff to keep you on your toes, demand active spacial reasoning and even have hidden bombable walls, that one in vatti's hyrule castle actually shocked me, thats sheep lass design

i think its controls hold it back more then they successfully create a well designed simple metroid. it feels both clunky and automatic. i do hope for a new 3d 3rd person at some point.
the story is bad & broken, some might even say weird & misogynist, but by merit of having a story with themes and ideas wins over Prime 4 by default in that regard. its also surprisingly not as obstructive, less so then i remembered. aside from the beginning you are basically always alone
id like to say its obviously better then prime 4, that would be the funniest thing to say, but its got its own comparative flaws and strengths. Other M is consistently mid, with glimmers of ok. Prime4 has peakbelt but its also often far more insulting then anything Other M manages
it could probably be improved a lot with a project 06 type mod, give enemies half hp and double damage, overhauled dodging, but a lot of the level design is unsalvageably mid like Prime 4s, almost reminded me of Lego starwars as a kid, but that game was probably more competent
for some reason i replayed Other M today for the first time in like a decade. its still mid. maybe worse now that Samus returns and Dread overshadow the cool factor.

we will soon enter a generation of "artists" who cant answer the questions "how did you get that idea?" "what inspired you to make this?" because the answer will be "i asked Grok to generate 4 epic fire demons and i thought no2 looked cool so i copied it"
even if i didnt have ethical concerns about replacing concept artists and creative thinkers in favor of Chat GPT. it is artistically bankrupt to let your art be informed by an Ai's "creative input". if you do hack by default
im a big time invader too, but this is mostly about cooperation. invasions have their own important flavor, but the game dosent need to be harder for their sake, theyve got enough as is
i do find it tragic how many Souls fans just dont engage with its unique multiplayer, seeing it as both a frustration & a cheatcode. makes me wish these games were more obviously unfair & obtuse, if only to push people to seeing that as the normative experience the devs intended

to be clear TGA is meaningless. but even at an imaginary good award show "Best RPG" shouldn't even be a catagory, because its completely vibes based, and the only real criteria is having a stats screen somewhere
An open world *actual RPG* KCD2 losing "best RPG" to a turn based linear narrative with no roleplaying mechanics is why I will always prefer genre names like 'metroidvania' or 'souls-like' with an actual coherent tether/reference to mechanical ideas built in over "RPG" "search action"
