Look forward to hearing that - and loved πππ the Pandora episode - particularly the bit about hope and toxic positivity (the Tarzan Swing strikes again....) And bits from Book 9 of Paradise Lost bounced into my head . #EveWasFramed

It's such fun, and a real pleasure, to be part of your calls. A great way to spend an hour, and my thanks for such a wonderful podcast. @alexpodyssey.bsky.social is just glorious.
I may get an actor friend to reconstruct it! HA! Only joking. I love people getting involved. A x
And a fantastic host and expert guests! Thanks Alex! Loved the discussion, pure treasure from start to end. Your editing skills will need to be epic to make my question sound good for sure...! π
What a gorgeous crowd and conversation. I shall edit it and put out on Saturday. xx
See many of you in just over an hour. V EXCITED!
Creation of Eve from Wells Cathedral drawn by John Flaxman - compare to his drawing of the presentation of Pandora (Image 3).

OMG, yes! Great moment. My OH suffers from anxiety, but loves rollercoasters. I FINALLY understood! Choosing the timing and mode of anxiety is the only time you are in control. A x
Ooh. If not too revealing, which? A x
Shout out this morning to this gracious host. Took time to explain something Iβd missed - a line that contextualised everything I was concerned about.
As random listeners in a world full of hot takes and parasocial confusions weβre owed nothing but itβs great to get simple clarifying replies
That's me, entirely predictably unpredictable. A x
Greg Davies: Great task, well done. Didnβt eat a thing.
Persephone: Thank you.
Alex Horne: Ah. Well. Letβs take another look at that pomegranate.
I did classics at the Australian equivalent of A level. We didn't get anything as fabulous as this podcast in our studies. If you have the slightest interest in why we talk about things like Pandora's Box, give it listen. You will learn a lot !
By turns hilarious, poignant, inspring and staggeringly informative, the @alexpodyssey.bsky.social is a crowning podcast, and this episode is the jewel. I could literally feel myself getting cleverer as I listened. It is also the only podcast to reference the great Trap Door cartoon. Oh Globbits!
This is a totally wonderful podcast and a really entertaining and informative episode. Honestly, have a listen, you won't regret it.
The original *door that must not be opened*!
Forbidden wisdom, misogyny and all the classic shackles.
Try learning by listening!
Celebrate #IWD2026 by hearing all about the very first woman and the war that has been waged against her for three millennia.
Then make sure you are subscribed at ko-fi.com/podyssey by tomorrow to receive the illustrated guide to the ep and an invite to the live zoom Q&A this Thursday at 8PM (GMT).
I think I have made Pandora fashionable again.
From Hesiod to Xena, from Jayne Eyre to Jumanjii, from Genesis to Pratchett, from Bluebeard to Doctor Who.
Plus, sex. Lots and lots of sex. And a bit of needlepoint.
I think I was delirious by the end.
Splendid episode.
Tip-top listening recommendation!
While I was headed my way to forgetting how to be human, this came up..
If Greek mythology is your thang ( and it is whether or not you know ) I can recommend this recommendation.
Listen and learn the master explain things that seem disconnected that are connected after all.
@sturdyalex.bsky.social itβs a masterpiece.
After listening to @quietriotpod.bsky.social this morning I followed on with this treat for the ears. Well done once again @sturdyalex.bsky.social
My pleasure. I will raise it with Overcast. x
Thanks, Willem. I promise to try and make it better, if I identify why it happens in some cases. I know that occasionally some carriers compress audio in a way that tries to "boost" it and that can have quirky results. I would be fascinated to know if other platforms are different. A x
This @alexpodyssey.bsky.social Podessy episode is amazing listening π Pandora her βboxβ and everything else
Highly recommended
