Nice!
Nice!
That's fair. Although Discord is still a somewhat gamer-specific slice of social sharing. I've been introducing it to non-gamers but the vast majority of non-gamer friends/family haven't converted yet.
FB has the bonus of only sharing with your friends / groups, which allows for more personal feeds detailing milestones in their lives etc. Once BSKY figures that piece out, I suspect a lot of people would make the move. I think that's why most of my social network is still there and not here.
On all my other feeds, every 2nd or 3rd post is a suggested thing. It's nice to be able to go to a feed where everything is content from the creators you follow and not injected with stealthy spam posts.
There is way too much "suggested" content out there. If I go to LinkedIn or Facebook, every 3rd post is suggested and often clickbait. So many opportunities for content designed to ruffle your feathers for those precious impressions to make it in front of your eyeballs.
Considering that young adults are having a harder time finding jobs right now, this is not terribly surprising.
Interesting cautionary tale.
Crows are awesome creatures.
