AFAICT, seems like #CVS, #Walgreens, #Walmart & #Target have all optimized their processes to insure maximum cross-patient exposure.
This is a pretty cynical take, but why set up a system that ensures sick people linger & mingle? More cross contamination leads to the more prescription sales, right?

Hell, even my chore-avoiding teens are quicker than where all the major US pharmacies are these days.
What’s the deal with how slow US pharmacies are these days? They used to be soooo much faster!
My doctor can “electronically submit” a prescription to my pharmacy of choice. An hour later, they receive the prescription but then still take 30-120 minutes to pull the boxed item off their shelf.
