Funny, I remember exactly where I was when I was listening to the news piece as it struck a nerve. Emotion triggered spatial recall at its finest.

Honestly i don't understand this data. EVERY shopping site I see has been offering constant sales and deals. Friends in retail say it's bleak. A majority are struggling with lost jobs and cost of living increases. Why in the hell would holiday spending be up?!
