Final (for now) thought on the Gaga show…
As bonkers, campy, and over the top the show was, it was also surprisingly emotional and sincere. This is entirely due to the supernatural levels of detail and performance intensity she exudes. Only someone that truly cares about her audience could do this.
I assume the crypt was filled with dirt from New York and Gaga sleeps and regenerates in it between shows.
also, a giant crypt of stage dirt from which she emerged after fondling a skeleton, and a boat straight out of Phantom of the Opera.
forgot to mention there was an enormous skull on stage.

oh yeah, it was good. i saw her in 2009, which I thought was pretty elaborate. this is like 10x. i can’t imagine how much it costs to tour this show.
this was the most bonkers concert I’ve ever attended. more musical theatre, really. 🪩💀🔥
