EZ1 is 8 years old today O_O That time has flown by! Here's a shot of a new area in c4_1.
Getting those lines recorded and into the game is the next hurdle. After that, we'll probably be looking at testing. I'll keep you posted on further developments!
Just wanted to give folks a quick update - things are still moving with EZ1 VR, just a little slow this month as it's the busiest month of the year for me with IRL stuff. We are working on fixing bugs and finalising line drafts prior to recording.
As much as I would love to see that, I have high doubts it would run as we made a lot of changes and utilise some pretty heavy graphical stuff that in some cases really pushed the engine version we have to its limits.
Thanks Bloody :) In our hearts, we want Axon Pariah. Sometimes, the devil lies in the details of execution rather than concept.

EZ2 is 2 years old today! ๐๐ We'll be publishing a small article on Steam later on today - or it may arrive tomorrow. Just a quick lil thing as we're super busy right now. A larger update with media for EZ1 will be coming later on in the year.

- We're in the process of writing proper voice acted lines for the game right now. Bad Cop will be keeping his EZ1 tone, speech cadence and demeanor. Trivvy will return as Bad Cop. There are also going to be other cops in the mix that we'll be looking at getting newly acted lines for.
- In some maps I've added some small new little off-shoot areas to explore. I've got some further ideas which I'll be working into the game soon.
- Playing EZ1 in VR is shaping up well. I don't have the benefit of VR (yet) but 1upD has been lucky enough to visit City 10 in VR many times already. I think EZ1 in VR will turn out to be an unforgettable experience.
- Visual changes are great. The changes and additions stay true to the original whilst enhancing things. Many lessons from EZ2 have been applied here.
- It has been a big deal for me going back to these old areas and lifting them functionally and visually. Very nostalgic and I've fixed some stuff that has bothered me for years. A full comprehensive changelog will be published when we're done.
- The game is already much fairer and less of a chore to play. We will need to do some internal testing soon to catch any new bugs and to make sure we're on the right track.
- The first pass of the game has been completed and many excellent gameplay tweaks and changes have been implemented.

I've been playing this recently too. Nearly finished. I actually love it!
Only in very specific cases have values been tweaked. For example as of right now, there are no gunplay damage changes. Fast Zombies and Vortigaunts have recieved damage nerfs, though. Those changes have been made to prevent insta-kills.
EZ1 vorts will now behave like EZ2 vorts. They can dispel and use their homing charge attacks. Their damage has also been tweaked for EZ1's context, to make things fairer for the player. Much needed changes that have a good, noticeable effect on gameplay!
