Welcome to LGBTQ+ History Month 🏳️🌈 To mark the month in Sheffield, we’ve put together a roundup of events centred around queer culture this February. Including a talk on a queer helpline, a lost 60s lesbian novel, drag, comedy and a whole bunch of films > ourfaveplaces.co.uk/our-picks/lg...
For this months Nature Connect we visited @grow_uk and learnt about their programs. Made festive wreaths and drank hot chocolate! Thanks so much for having us! 🌿☕️

Nature Connect: This week we went on a Bee and Butterfly walk with UKEcoNet. Ian Rotherham and Christine Handley took us around Graves Park telling us all about its heritage and the unique landscapes there such as the meadows and ancient woodland. We identified some butterflies, moths and ladybirds!
Here's a sneak peek at some of the murals the young people of SAYiT have been busy painting for their new youth space!
For this month's Nature Connect group, we went to a community BioBlitz event at Shire Brook Nature Reserve. The young people tried out pond dipping, sweep netting, and had a look at moths, a snake, and a toad!
Thanks for the amazing event @defragovuk @heritagefunduk
We are moving buildings w/c July 28th. Please bear with us during this time as our normal services may be disrupted whilst we settle into our new space.
Last week we launched our annual zine for 2025, created by the young people who attend SAYiT.
In celebration we showcased the young peoples artwork with a gallery show and zine workshop.
If you would like a copy of the zine they will be available at any future events we attend or upon request.
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth Support Worker to join our dynamic Youth Work Team. Ideal for someone passionate about working collaboratively with LGBTQ+ young people, especially those who may be harder to reach or face additional barriers.

Our Fruitbowl groups went on a trip to Weston Park Museum last week, where they had the whole museum to themselves for the evening! We all enjoyed looking around the exhibits and played "museum bingo" where the young people drew pictures to fit into each bingo category!
Here's a sneak peak at the new zine created by the young people at SAYiT.
We will be hosting an evening to celebrate the launch, with an art show, craft activities, board games and refreshments.

My latest for @nowthenmag.bsky.social.
"Mainstream British transphobia has been concocted by several dozen powerful actors who are socially positioned to access the stony-faced operators of the parliamentary sludge machine."
