Absolutely... always beautiful to see how spelling evolves anyway. An inspiring example from The Guardian
"Columbia" is not as scandalous as it looks. "Colombia" is a Spanish word. English and Spanish have different orthographies. It is not uncommon to Anglicise foreign proper nouns. No one objects to "Brazil" but Portuguese spelling is "Brasil". People are still spelling "Turkey" instead of "Türkiye".
Pronunciation and spelling do not need to imply each other. There's a distinction between deep and shallow orthography.
ITA was a well-intentioned, but misguided attempt. There are alternative English spellings that do the job without looking utilitarian.
The Bloo Bouk would help those with dyslexia.
