Like, have you *seen* how cool this shit is
Once in a blue moon bluesky post to say I've somehow gotten back into comics again and it's Daniel Warren Johnson's fault
Bonus new episode time!
This week on Blind Spots, Dan is once again joined by Max Deering (@odstspartan.bsky.social) and Ewan Paterson (@whatsewanbrewin.bsky.social) to look back at 2025

I'm working on it ๐
Merry Christmas limbo everyone!! Happy to report it's another year around the sun where I have become even more insufferable and powerful ๐๐๐ see ya next year!!
If they don't put Fode and Beed in the new Star Wars podracing game then what's the point
One of my favourite local businesses just shut down permanently today and WAHHH it's not fair I am gonna be mourning this loss forever
Obviously it's because the world is terrible and stressful and the news today about WB is pretty terrible but lordy I cannae keep up with it anymore cap'n. Knackered
Not logged in here for months and after scrolling for a minute I'm already exhausted ๐ญ not cut out for this social media malarkey anymore ๐
Congratulations, David Zaslav, on being the most destructive force in US entertainment in the entire history of show business
Happiness is a new John Carpenter 4K on your doorstep ๐ฅฐ
Intruder (1989) - oh my god... hidden gem or what? So much fun. Delicious vibes. Gorgeously shot. Go in blind if you can (don't look up any posters!) and soak up the slasher goodness
This does eventually get there (mostly), but lots of bizarre changes that dull the darkness somewhat. We spend so much time with Victor in his childhood and I haaaaate it
Elordi is fantastic as the Monster though - a wonderful physical performance even if GDT retreats to familiar and well-worn comforts with his depiction. All the stuff in the arctic also great. Gorgeous set and costume design. I just don't know why this had to be another Sins of the Father story
GDT's Frankenstein - full thoughts coming on WhatCulture Horror later but I found it to be such a frustrating mixed bag. Some bizarre expansions on Shelley's text that end up distracting from the timelessness of its central throughline, and I Simply Have No Idea what Oscar Isaac was doing either
Ok it's actually a bit ridiculous how much you can track my own mental wellbeing based on how many movies I've been watching (hint: September was BAAAD lmao)
I'm crying dudes this has been on their platform for FIVE DAYS at least Ffs

What's even funnier about this is that The Limey is a rental - it's not even like a streaming mix up
Cursed streaming service update: just tried to watch Lair of the White Worm on Jeff Bezos' clown machine and it's legit just playing The Limey. Like, I love The Limey, but uhhh, where's the worm ๐ญ
May or may not have partaken in a new Benoit Blanc mystery last night ๐ช
Funky pants era is here
Thought Play Dirty was better than I feared it would be but also the only thing more jarring than Mark Wahlberg as Parker is a Parker movie that has a car chase in an electric SUV
The planes of existence are all scary lmao
That time of year where I look at any frame from Carnival of Souls and ascend to another plane of existence
Tired but alive!! God bless the one part of my living room with good lighting
Really good at having those alone moments and just feeling really overwhelmed by all the love that's in your life, y'know?
Some Tuesday nights are for taking stock of how far you've come and having a bit of a cry about it, I suppose
