About 2 years in and there is no way I will ever do a Windows installation for myself or anyone else _ever_ again.

Running Ubuntu on my workhorse because the latest NVidia driver was readily available (I run Debian usually). It's great. Anything Linux seems to be miles ahead of Windows in pretty much every aspect (except for the constant barrage of advertising, but I don't really miss that feature)

Go for it. I was actually using a bunch of Windows only software. Jumped ship anyway, found my replacement software easily and never looked back.
I still have to use Windows at work and it's always a worse experience in every way.
