Acrude sketch of a cartoony dinosaur jumping in a backpack, and next to it three drawings of the same topic showing the dinosaur before the jump, during, and after the jump.
Programmer's sketch vs final (animated in the game) artist's interpretation :D
Make it happen first! You can perfect it later ^_^

A sprout popping out of the dirt in a little burlap planter.
π when I repotted my bonsai sprouts (blog post coming... sometime), I watered the other little planters one last time, "just in case," and stuck them on a shelf to be forgotten about. A few days ago, I found this!

Yellow flowers on a long stalk emerging from a succulent plant. The succulent is blurred in the background, with the focus on the flowers.
A succulent with a long stalk emerging from one side, continuing out of the frame, and a smaller one with buds on the other side.
Succulent update! The first stalk is still blooming, and the second has grown quite a bit.

An esspresso pumpernickel bagel with egg and cheese.
My lunch from Salty Blonde Bagel Bar on Blake in Barrie, ON. They make their own sourdough bagels, and serve all sorts of sandwiches on them. I always grab a half dozen of esspresso pumpernickel bagels on my way out.

Done! The kit called for 2 contrasting fabrics, but the scraps I grabbed from my stash weren't quite enough, so I added a 3rd. I think I like it better this way.

A pack of 50 singer sewing needles.
A zip top bag full of pre-cut card pieces beside an instruction booklet for making a mini victorian needle box.
Before today, all the needles I had were "borrowed" from my grandmother or found in those tiny sewing kits hotels used to have. I've been having trouble finding them, so I bought a large pack of needles. I was trying to decide where to store them and remembered this kit I bought like 25 years ago.

A small succulent plant with a long stem of flowers and buds. A second stem is starting to emerge.
The flowers on my succulent are starting to open, so I wanted to post a closeup. #succulent #plantparent #floweringsucculent

Bonsai sprouts growing in small burlap planters in a wooden box. There are 2 pigeon pea sprouts and 1 locust sprout. The other planters have not sprouted.
I haven't posted a bonsai sprout update in a while. I culled the wonky pigeon pea because the instructions said to only have 1-2 sprouts in each pot. The locust is growing kinda wonky, but it's the only one I have, so I guess we'll see how it goes. I'm going to repot these next week.

This succulent is still flowering. I probably need to figure out how to repot it when it's done.

A thick flatbread that has been bitten into, showing the texture inside. A plate with another flatbread on it is visible in the background.
They're actually pretty close to the morning rounds. More filling, though. Next time, I'll add cranberries and make them a little smaller. Maybe split the dough into 12 or 14 instead of 10.
I'm also going to try and cook them on the flat top, 1-2 at a time in a pan is a lot of standing for me.

Well, they don't look like the picture in the recipe, but they do look a lot like the morning rounds.

10 dough balls under plastic wrap on a rolling mat.
Trying out pitas made with greek yogurt as a healthier substitute to the ozery morning rounds I've been eating almost every morning for years. I meant to add some cinnamon and cranberries but totally forgot, lol. I guess I'll do that next time if I like them.

Current "recipe", which may change before I get around to blogging about it:
1 cup plain greek yogurt
1 cup milk (I use 2%, but I imagine any kind would work, including plant based)
1 cup frozen fruit.
Blend. Store in shake-able containers. A pitcher doesn't work well because it will separate.

Now I get to reuse these jars instead of constantly disposing of more plastic. Also, getting to use something I've been hanging on to is super validating. My family will be hearing about this for days.

I just realized that the little mason jars I've been keeping for years because they're adorable are 200ml.
I've been experimenting with making yogurt drinks, and the ones I normally buy from the store (for $2 each!) are also 200ml! Here I was thinking I'd have to buy some bottles.

Little felt cars with buttons for wheels. The bottom one is purple with yellow wheels and is completely sewn together, with a piece of paracord through it. The middle one is yellow with orange wheels and is partially sewn, with clips holding the top together and paracord through it. The top one is blue with red wheels and only sewn on the bottom.
More progress on the busy book. I think maybe I'll do a blog post for each page separately as I finish them.

3 pieces of romaine lettuce topped with very saucy shredded chicken and veggies.
My lunch this week, based on this recipe: www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/pean...
I used shredded chicken and a bag of broccoli coleslaw from the bagged salad section at the grocery store (these are my secret weapon for easy meals).
