We mapped the structure of a tumor-suppressive DRAIC lncRNA and identified a 36-nucleotide hairpin as necessary and sufficient for its #anti-oncogenic function.

We have not tested it in this model but you may be interested in another preprint from our lab.
In short, MCM2-7 is still loaded at comparable rates in G1 phase to license reserve origins and in the same S phase to permit re-replication in human cancer cell lines lacking ORC.
These findings open new avenues for understanding DNA replication and cellular adaptation, with potential implications for cancer research and regenerative medicine. Grateful to my co-authors and collaborators for their invaluable contributions. Excited to see where this leads! (4/4)
