Some big progress on ROCKETPUNK ๐ over the last couple of days - infinite level generation, new tiles, improvements to movement, implementation of background (not the final bg, more of a proof of concept)

Next up: polishing the core feel, building out enemies and level chunks, and getting the first proper demo together.

I think it's about time I got back into posting regularly on here, the 30-day challenge for finishing INKARNATE really helped me to wrap the game up after a bit of a lull.

Pixel-art mockup of a hyphothetical Wario Land game. The setting is of some king of castle ruin at night, during a full moon
Old Wario Land concept mockup (ca. 2014 I believe.) I was picturing something closer to Wario Land 3, though for whatever reason, I built it around the idea of transforming Wario into a rat that eats gold.

In terms of releasing the game, I'm having some trouble with the html5 web export through Godot, but once that's fixed and the page is all set-up, I should be good to go!
Also planning on releasing the devlog at the same time, so lots to come very shortly. 5 days left of the challenge โก
Cover art coming along nicely for the itch.io listing + I've created a custom font (titled Inkwell) to make my life much easier when typing things out โจ๏ธ
Loads of progress to report from today in general - controls menu, lots of new SFX, fixing various bugs.
