Bezos isn't destroying the Washington Post because it isn't profitable. He's destroying the Washington Post because he's calculated that a robust free press threatens the ability of his class to warp society around their interests

The plastic face of evil:
Screen shot from the show Andor. Someone says to Mon Mothma βThey [meaning the Empire] donβt even bother to lie badly anymore.β Mon replies βI suppose thatβs the final humiliation.β
This one is resonating today. #Andor
We're talking an all-time bad sub appearance from Cruz here. Mount Rushmore of shit.
One reason there is not a "Joe Rogan of the left" is because it is difficult to gain mass appeal with a leftist audience while engaging in obvious bullshit
Trump and Vance just made Zelensky one of the most popular leaders in the world.
At this moment I'm quite possibly the most ashamed I've ever been to be an American. Trump and Vance don't represent anything good about our country and I'm ashamed that they are considered our "leaders" in any way, shape, or form. Ukraine deserves so much more than this farce.
Utahβs so-called βmoderateβ Republicans are nothing more than MAGA Republicans in khakis.
Donβt let them fool you. Letβs break it down. elevatepac.substack.com/p/cox-curtis...
After playing a fictional member of the Resistance a long time ago, I never could have imagined it ever happening in real life, but here we are.
Mark Hamill posting rebellious content in a battle against a dictator and his robotic sidekick is the most Star Wars shit ever.
The dumbest people who have ever existed are running the country

Self care is something I've always struggled with, and something I'm really trying to work on. I hate that whenever I take a positive step in that direction I'm met with resistance and pushback from the person that I would hope supports me the most. But history has shown that isn't going to change.
One thing I find interesting about the echo chamber complaint is that an echo chamber just won a presidential election.
Put aside the convo of whether itβs βgoodβ or βbadβ for a moment. The far right has devoted enormous resources + time to building echo chambers & loathes spaces they donβt control

It also has a built-in vibration gimmick.
This past weekend I got play with my 12 yr. old as players with family/friends(shoutout to @behemothdan.bsky.social) and then on Saturday I started DMing for my 12 yr. old and his friends. Really excited to be playing again but really stoked to DM and be doing it with one of my boys. Full Circle
For a while I was playing with my brother and some family off and on for a couple years but that ended after trying to make schedules work. I loved playing the game but missed getting together to play and chat and just have fun. I wish I'd had the chance to start playing as a teen.
When I was a teen I bought the Dungeons and Dragons handbook and DM guide and upon arriving home my parents immediately made me take them back to the bookstore to return them due to the "Satanic Panic". For more than 25 years I never played D&D in person, just playing PC game versions instead.
Itβs in crappy times like these that McDonaldβs really needs to step up and go back to the all day breakfasts.
