Fwiw, from someone who has been in the industry a while, the pendulum swings back and forth on this. Not long ago it was fiction that was struggling. The trend will reverse. Broadly speaking, in dark times people read more fiction.

It’s being used increasingly in writing marketing copy and metadata refinement. My sense is that publishing houses have had a big gulp of the kool aid and it’s being pushed at upper levels and on down.
