It’s funny how a lot of people talk about RE9 as if it’s jangling keys (it does) but then immediately go on to say the game would be better if it was about Jill or another old character (jangling another set of keys)
I need to do a series replay but I think this is where I stand as of now when it comes to all the Resident Evil games that I’ve played. Still need to play 0 and a few others though.
Going to do an insanity run later on but after a 3rd playthrough I can say that it really is great. I’m really a fan of all of Grace’s section but unfortunately Leon’s full chapter isn’t my favorite. It reminds me of one of the RE4 Remake’s lesser chapters.

Played like 9.5 Hours of Resident Evil Requiem today and I’ll hold off anything conclusive until my second play-through but so far this is close to the best the series has been in a while. All the games rock but this is another level.
In Resident Evil Requiem Grace stumbles over while running if you play in third person and I think that’s so neat. Genuinely makes me want to only play third person.
I haven’t really been in the right headspace as of late so it didn’t dawn on me until this morning that Re9 is THIS WEEK and now I’m excited

When I see people talk about a fully realized Spencer estate in a potential Resident Evil 1 Re-remake I’m always a bit confused. The mansion WAS fully realized. The RPD or Raccoon city has an argument (though just as boring) for being more realized but the mansion isn’t that big.
If Disney doesn’t pick up the Muppets Show I think I’ll lose it. That was genuinely really good and Sabrina Carpenter is like the perfect muppets guest.

I have a feeling that Return to Silent Hill will be substantially worse since it’s trying to 1:1 adapt an 8 hour game into a sub 2 hour movie but maybe I’ll be corrected.
I finally watched the 2006 Silent Hill movie and I have some thoughts I’ll save for later but I’ll say it’s probably the best that game movies have gotten but even then, it’s still bad. But at least it visually looks great, even if the rest of the movie isn’t good.
I’m not picky, all they have to do is make the launcher better. I don’t need more integration, I don’t need a smartphone app, I just want it to work and to work consistently. As it stands, everything is still slow and laggy even after all these years.
