Moskowitz: "Let me congratulate the former Homeland Security Secretary on her appointment to be the Shield of Americas, which I'm pretty sure the president came up with when he watched the last Avengers movie"
Kristi Noem has done a stunning amount of damage and it’s good she’s gone.
But this doesn’t change the fact that we need a complete overhaul of DHS, impartial investigations into the killings of two American citizens, and information on children that were taken from Minnesota.

How Noem’s Handling of Disaster Aid Angered Even Some Republicans
Long delays in FEMA assistance brought bipartisan complaints, especially in North Carolina after Hurricane Helene in 2024.
I’ve been asked if I would support Sen. Mullin as Noem’s replacement.
The answer is a resounding NO. The rot in DHS is deep, much deeper than any individual.
It’s a question of policy not personnel. The Senate should not consider any DHS Secretary nominee until DHS and ICE are reined in.
Kelly: "You could pick a random group of people off the street tonight here in DC and they could probably do a better job than our government is doing right now. They don't have a goal, there's no strategic plan. And what this is likely to lead to is, again, a long war with a lot of dead Americans."

Luxembourg lawmakers have voted to enshrine the freedom to have an abortion in the country’s constitution. However, wording was changed from "right" to "freedom" making it much weaker, and the country has a 12-week abortion limit that won't change.
Thou shalt arrest the damn president.

The Trump DOJ has been taking down Epstein files.
The massive tranche of files the Justice Department currently maintains is more than 65,000 pages shorter than what the agency initially released, according to a CBS analysis — and the number continues to fluctuate.

Democrats scored an upset win in an Arkansas special election, giving Republicans new reason to worry:
Arkansas Democrat Alex Holladay clinched a dominant victory in the Arkansas House District 70 election — another district previously held by a Republican now flipped by a Democrat.
NEW: The House Ethics Committee will investigate allegations that GOP Rep. Tony Gonzales had an affair with a former staff member who later died after setting herself on fire.
BREAKING on MS NOW:
The House Oversight Committee just voted to subpoena Pam Bondi as part of the panel's Epstein investigation.
The vote was 24-19. 5 Republicans voted in favor.
Per Kornacki, even with all Dallas votes in, Crockett cannot cover the difference. Talarico is our candidate. May he flip Texas that has been giving us some of the worst Senators ever.
Stupid people are very unpredictable. That’s why having Trump in leadership it feels so incredibly chaotic.
They claim to have been planning this for months, to allegedly keep Americans safe, but had no plan to evacuate any Americans from the region because it happened too quickly.
Weird.
We need to pass a House rule or law that requires them to work a certain number of days to get paid. Since Mike Johnson took over these people hardly ever work. When they finally come back after weeks off they work 2 days and he sends them home for 2 more weeks. It’s ridiculous.
This Day in Labor History: March 4, 1933. The newly inaugurated president Franklin Delano Roosevelt nominated Frances Perkins as Secretary of Labor. This first female cabinet member in American history was an amazing fighter for the working class and let's talk about her!!!!!
It’s looking increasingly likely that Kristi Noem and Lewandowski funneled almost 200 million in government money to a company that is run by her friend and that nobody can give an address for.
Oh, and it was 8 days old when it was awarded the contract.

Carmel Myers in a portrait taken by her cousin Ruth Harriet Louise, 1925. Thanks to Carmel, Ruth’s photo talents became known to Louis B. Mayer and months later she was hired as MGM’s head of studio portraiture. She was just 22.
Seems like the media should at least express some curiosity about this.

It’s time to move the UN building out of New York, it’s not neutral ground; Trump’s US envoy to the UN Mike Waltz threatened to assassinate Iran’s Ambassador to the United Nations.
“He should be careful with his words sitting on American soil.”
Jasmine Crockett is a class act. 💙
Raskin: Based on what you know today, were Renee Good and Alex Pretti domestic terrorists?
Noem: What happened was an absolute tragedy.
Raskin: Were they domestic terrorists?
Noem: My condolences to their families
Raskin: You lied about them.
