Line 1 still stuck at 21 train cars as reduced LRT service continues | CBC News OC Transpo says it's making progress on a solution that could allow it to get its full east-west light rail fleet back, though that has meant it hasn't increased the number of trains in service recent...

Although OC Transpo can't run two car trains right now, they are running trains more frequently to compensate. Trains are coming at less than 4 minute headways in peak periods.
Looking at this a little differently, isn't this actually better service? - it's more frequent!

This is not legal in Ontario, but it needs to be. Plug-in panels would typical get installed vertically and would therefore not have the challenge of winter snow cover curtailing power production. The technical issues to allow this have been successfully addressed elsewhere

What the UK’s first geothermal power plant means for the nation’s electricity supply Unlike wind and solar which are weather-dependent sources of renewable energy, geothermal heat can produce energy steadily, day and night, all year round.

Deep geo, not nuclear, is the kind of new thing that Ontario should be trying. Deep geo is being used to heat Cornell university in upstate NY
