I think making oil prohibitively expensive could save the world actually

Wouldn't be the first time they've changed to a more unlikeable person. Judith Collins for example.

Then all RoNS resources diverted to electrifying and expanding the rail network as a public works project.

If I was a wise Government for which NACT1 are not, I be using my vast resources of cheap State Finance to get 1,000 EV truck tractor units and Class 2 and 3 licence trucks ordered and shipped fastest way how for our fleet.
Get them to our logistic companies on a 10 year 2% loan.

He's our generation's David Bowie. A master of every genre and creating new genres as he goes.

The population of Lebanon is not even half the pop of Tehran. Since it began pummeling Lebanon, Israel has already forced the displacement of 500,000. Just today, it has killed 74 Lebanese. The total death toll is approx 400.

These are insane numbers. A slaughter even worse than in Iran

Oil at $100 a barrel will mean $5/litre petrol before the general election with an economically inept and incompetent government flailing their arms and panicking. If we'd invested in electrifying everything when we had the chance, this wouldn't be so much of an issue. But gotta please your donors.

It’s certainly less likely to have someone be able to fake their way in. It’s more secure for sure. But there’s issue with cases like when you’re wearing a mask, for example. I wish iPhone had both and you could choose to use either or require both.

The scan is in 3D, so a photo won’t work. There’s a setting in FaveID (which may be on by default?) to require attention, so it’ll only unlock if it recognises that you’re looking at your phone (so it won’t work if your eyes are closed)

FaceID doesn’t use photos. It scans your face infrared and then calculates a hash from the scan and compares it to a stored hash. And the hash (calculated, encrypted randomised code) is stored on a secure part of the chip.

As far as biometrics go, it’s safe and secure.

We haven’t seen the lists yet. I’d like Renney in Parliament, but I’ll be voting for JAG (since my house has been dragged out of Wellington Central into Wellington Bays).

A search result on a Linux machine showing available Bluetooth devices including the two Lime scooter when were nearby. Trying to pair to one presented me with a passcode box. I couldn’t be bothered going to look and see if the screen on the Lime was showing a pairing passcode.

Soooo… the new Lime scooters in Pōneke. All have Bluetooth broadcasting out which required a passcode… and I can’t imagine it’s going to take more than a couple of days for these to be hacked. Especially when people leave them outside technically adept people’s houses.

A working class person would also take advice from advisors n things they lacked knowledge of. Luxon assumes himself an expert on everything.

I’ll never forgive them for that. Putting forward the most useless MP in recent history into Rongotai because they were so convinced it was in the bag for them so why bother having a competent candidate πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

I’m so glad I went an got a booster for MMR. My plunket records show I got a measles vaccination, but couldn’t see a second. So safer to go and get an MMR.

We know Aotearoa considered fuel rationing during covid, so they probably have a relatively recent plan to use if required, without having to delve into the national archives

Oh fuck me
Was this at the Ellerslie Races today?
So he cancelled an appearance at the Auckland Boat Show to go get on the piss with toff noses and carpet baggers at the races?
Also while he is about to face the media tomorrow. Well suppose better have one last piss up before the media nukes you

We swept them last year, in India, and India always discount the Black Caps because they’d rather be playing England or Australia. This is why the Black Caps destroyed them in the CWC 2019 semi final - India saw it as a formality and were contesting on the final. And why we won the first Test Champ

There’s no way the new leader would keep her around. She’s tied to Luxon. People don’t like her. She’s largely responsible for a lot of the mess we’re in. They’ll both sink.
