Right on! The fact that most of our votes are wasted is reason enough to change our voting system.
The collapse of US democracy is a direct consequence of their winner-take-all electoral system, where perverse incentives reward division, hatred and lies.
I’m partnering with @fairvote.ca to explain *our* dumb winner-take-all system and the urgent need for proportional representation in #Canada.
For the record, I covered the Electoral Reform committee hearings in one of my first journalism jobs and the experts were overwhelmingly in favour of mixed member proportional representation.
Trudeau made it clear just now that his regret is that our system wasn't changed to a *ranked ballot.*
