Was privileged to see a competition pod of humpback whales yesterday. They were super aggressive and we saw one ride on top of another consistently for about 20 minutes. Amazing. Hope they're all okay.

I'd never thought about it until I called Beloved in a complete meltdown at a meeting where people were spending a lot of time and energy not making any sense.

It was his suggestion and it took some practice. But it uses lots less bandwidth.

I've learned not to listen-like-a-lawyer when calls don't really need full spectrum attention.

Full spectrum attention is when I need to simultaneously understand the meaning, evaluate the credibility, translate the subtext, and also notice what is not being said. Sometimes, showing up is enough.

Yes. Trump announced it on his social media. She is being replaced at DHS by a Senator from Oklahoma (subject to Senate confirmation). She is also being transferred to some new role that has not existed.

Probably not going to get the traction it deserves but it’s insane 1. Stephen Miller is giving dod press conferences and 2. explicitly saying the us policy towards the irgc will be war crimes

The first signs of burnout are coming from the people who embrace AI the most | TechCrunch Because employees could do more, work began bleeding into lunch breaks and late evenings. The employees' to-do lists expanded to fill every hour that AI freed up, and then kept going.

I am weirdly sensitive to light and my internal clock gets messed up until I get used to the new patterns.

True. It's still weird and awful.

I refuse to be complaint-shamed over my petty hatred of the time change. I hate it.

I hate it even though there are many more important things going on.

And I may even complain about it some more because I hate it.

Thanks for caring though.

I had a cross beam for an electrical pole in my backyard for 2 years for the same reason.

I still don't remember exactly how I ended up with it.
