And here I thought Trump was this great "deal maker". Refusing to even talk to the other side is NOT how deals are made.
It is, but since it's in the Constitution it's essentially impossible to change. What has happened in recent years to pack the court with partisan judges is not what the Founders envisioned, same as how the Electoral College works, something else that seems absurd to people from other democracies.
